Dr. Aylward has over 17 years of clinical, research, and healthcare innovation strategy
experience across academic medicine, industry startups, and healthcare consulting and
advisory firms. He has served in director and executive roles to lead healthcare innovation,
strategy, product development, and implementation efforts with clients in the healthcare sector.
Brandon has completed formal trainings in healthcare and life sciences innovation, digital health
strategy, technology commercialization and business modeling, and scaling startups through the
NIH, NSF, Kauffman TechVentures, and StartUp Health. He is well-versed and possess subject
matter expertise in healthcare innovation, artificial intelligence, and the vast health technology
armamentarium and ecosystem.

Dr. Aylward is currently the founder and managing principal of PedsTech, a digital health
consulting firm that provides business strategy, product and research roadmap strategies, and
quality improvement and implementation planning consulting and advisory services to
innovative companies in the pediatric healthcare space. Prior to this, he led the development of
the digital health consulting business unit at RTI International and defined the overall business
strategy for research and advisory services. In this role as Director of Digital Health Research
and Advisory Services, he established new service offerings and successfully led business
growth activities and advisory services to health technology companies, healthcare providers
and organizations, and payors on the deployment, evidence generation, market access, and
commercialization strategies of healthcare technologies and programs. He has published over
50 studies and articles in peer-reviewed literature and numerous book chapters and thought
leadership pieces as well related to digital health and behavioral health.
