Dr. Sha Brennan serves as the Regional Medical Director for Clinical Informatics. Together with the CMIO and ACMIO she helps shape technology strategy and drives digital innovation on both local and national scales. She serves as the MAPMG physician lead for MyChart implementation and E-visits. She is on the leadership team of the AI Center of Excellence and hosts the AI Center of Excellence Speaker Series. She provides robust educational, operational, and project leadership and support for TITER’s 10 Physician Builders.
Dr. Brennan’s previous leadership experience includes Regional Medical Director for the Specialty Call Center. There she spearheaded operational and technical enhancements, including the implementation of EPIC’s Fast Pass, and forging collaborative relationships with over 90 chiefs across 35 specialties to overhaul the scripts and protocols for each specialty department. She has also served as the Northern Virginia Acute Care Documentation and Coding Champion increasing Diagnosis review performance to over 90% compliance.
In addition to her leadership and clinical responsibilities, Dr. Brennan shares her knowledge and passion for medicine as a Clinical Professor for Acute Care Services at Penn State College of Medicine and a Communication Coach for MAPMG’s Professional Development and Wellness group.
Dr. Brennan is a board-certified Emergency Medicine physician who practices throughout the Northern Virginia service area. She earned her bachelor’s degree at The College of William and Mary and her Doctor of Medicine degree at Stanford University for Medical School. She then completed her training at Loma Linda University Hospital. She has been practicing at Mid-Atlantic Permanente Medical Group since 2015.
